Winston came to DBHR in May of 2025 because he was not doing well in a home with young kids and lots of activities... Winston can get “too excited, then he needs time calm down. He is a 4-year-old BIG boy who at that time weighed 81 lbs. (now 59 LBS) He was on phenobarbital as he has had seizures, his last one in August of 2023. He is a handsome smart boy, that loves to learn. Winston just needs a stable quiet home to thrive in. We have changed his seizure meds to Keppra, being a med that has fewer side effects and is easier to get monthly. Winston has only had 1 seizure in the time he has been with us. We had just taken in 2 new younger fosters that week, so the excitement level here was high that day.

He can be around other dogs; they just need to be more laid back. He likes to play with other dogs and people. And he loves attention, cuddles, toys and of course food. Winston is a fun boy that is so smart, willing to learn and loves to interact with people. Winnie is a great companion with a lot of love to give.
